51²è¹Ýapp has a proud tradition of neighbors helping neighbors, a dedication to service that dates back to the town’s founding. Here, we celebrate some of the 51²è¹Ýappians whose generosity and dedication continue to make a difference in our community.

Since 1965, MICA has worked with children and families to alleviate poverty, address food insecurity, and provide essential resources for families striving toward stability and self-sufficiency.

Four 51²è¹Ýapp faculty and staff recently received Faculty Career Enhancement (FaCE) awards from the Associated Colleges of the Midwest.

Merel Timmermans ’22 came to Iowa from California, then joined the cross country team, explored her new hometown, and worked at an NGO in Mexico, all within her first year. A political science major, Merel caucused in Iowa during the election season, then found ways to maintain 51²è¹Ýapp community during Covid.

This Week at the Museum offers a sneak peek at art in the current exhibition at the 51²è¹Ýapp College Museum of Art, with expert commentary from Associate Director Dan Strong.
